My movement background includes 16 years coaching gymnastics and over a decade competing in triathlon. I gravitated to Pilates in search of practice that would increase my flexibility, stability, core strength and mind body connection. After experiencing the way that Pilates improved my overall physical condition, core strength, and eliminated the aches and pains from years of over training, my love for Pilates grew into a desire to help others feel the benefits. I completed the comprehensive teacher training with Alycea Ungaro of Real Pilates, Manhattan in 2022 and proudly join the 3rd generation of pilates instructors classically trained in Joe Pilates original system and curriculum. I love working with clients of all levels and experience and especially love to share the journey with clients as they progress! When I am not teaching Pilates I am busy hiking, traveling and spending time with my family and my sweet Yorkie, Tyler!
● Took first Pilates reformer class while living in Singapore and was immediately hooked.
● Completed a comprehensive classical Pilates training program once back in the United States, consisting of 158 face-to-face workshop hours, and 600 study hours outside of those workshops - observation, personal practice and teaching.
● Triple Negative Breast Cancer survivor. After a bilateral mastectomy, chemotherapy and reconstructive surgery in 2021, I am a firm believer that Pilates will meet you where you are in your body and in your fitness journey.
● When not teaching Pilates, you’ll find me: taking a Pilates class, rescuing/fostering dogs through Wag On Inn Rescue, spending time with my husband Roy and teenage son Gavin, reading and traveling.

Denise Kornblatt
With a background as a registered nurse and a passion for movement, I have been helping others live healthier, more fulfilling lives for many years. My journey in wellness began with a 200-hour yoga certification in 2013. Soon after, I discovered Pilates, and my love for its transformative effects inspired me to teach.
In 2016, I earned my Power Pilates 600-hour certification, covering all apparatus and grounding me in the classical method. My teaching style is rooted in tradition, but I bring a sense of fun and adaptability to every session, ensuring that Pilates is accessible to all ages and abilities.
As a lifelong learner, I continue to practice Pilates daily, believing that being a good teacher requires staying curious and growing as a student. Teaching Pilates allows me to fulfill my calling as a helper, just as I did in my nursing career.
When I’m not in the studio, you can find me spending time with my beloved cats or dancing to my heart’s content.
